Bright straw-yellow with green highlights. On the nose, floral aromas, citrus and yellow fruits such as peach, apricot and nectarine. On the palate, fresh, mineral and beautifully structured, with a balanced and smooth finish.
The Oropasso is produced in a way that preserves its fresh and fruity character. The official information from Biscardo makes no mention of traditional extended oak ageing; for the drinks menu, I would therefore not mention barrel ageing and would describe it as a wine crafted primarily to emphasise freshness and pure fruit.
Grape varieties:
Garganega – 60%
Chardonnay – 40%
Excellent with fish, shellfish, octopus, prawns, risotto, light pasta dishes, grilled chicken and mild cheeses. Also particularly well-suited to risotto with citrus and prawn tartare.
An elegant and fresh white wine made from 60% Garganega and 40% Chardonnay. It entices with floral aromas, citrus and ripe peach, apricot and nectarine. Fresh and mineral on the palate, with lovely structure and a balanced finish. Delicious with fish, shellfish, risotto, light pasta dishes and soft cheeses. Serve at 9–10°C.
